Don Roberts School of Hair Design has been in the business of quality education since 1961 and continues to be the leader in cosmetology education in Northwest Indiana.

With plenty of parking, student wi-fi, and all the equipment and products our students need while in class or the clinic/lab activities, the Don Roberts School of Hair Design provides a professional atmosphere for the student to optimize their learning and have the advantage of one on one experience with the educator.

A Full-Service, Industry-Focused Beauty School

Don Roberts School of Hair Design is the only FULL-SERVICE SPA SCHOOL in Indiana. This campus offers programs in Cosmetology, Barber, Esthetics, Manicuring, and Instructors Training. Cross-training is in demand and available for those that are currently licensed.

Here at Don Roberts School of Hair Design, we take education seriously. Both your education and our education. Our instructors receive consistent continuing education courses to remain competitive as licensed beauty culture instructors and within their specific undergraduate fields. Many of our instructors are also multi-licensed because beauty is our business. We expect and encourage our students to remain focused on their personal education journey. Learn how to use Social Media in Beauty School

Don Roberts School of Hair Design teaches more than just the fundamental skills you need to earn your license. We also focus on learning the soft skills of how to build your clientele to become a successful beauty professional. Beauty as a Business (BaaB) is an interactive online learning curriculum designed to help you build your professional portfolio and market yourself on social media outlets.

As a CHI ® Partner School, we exclusively use a complete line of 100% ammonia-free products for a safer working environment in our student salon. Cross-Training is key to increased earning potential

Don Roberts School of Hair Design is designed to offer multiple programs to students that want to fully embark on the multiple SPA STUDIES, as required by Full Service and Specialty Salons/Spas of the 21st century. It is this school’s experience that many soon-to-be professionals want a detailed and specialty education in more than one program. These students choose to be cross-trained with multiple licenses which will increase their client base and income proportionately.

Our full and part-time classes are afforded the opportunity to become employed, continued their graduate studies, and enjoy the multiple benefits of our ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS.     My educational journey at Don Roberts began in cosmetology and continued in the instructor’s program. Since I had the cosmetology curriculum fresh in my brain, I was then able to crossover 900 hours from the cosmetology program and into the barber’s crossover program and then only had to complete 600 hours for the barbering program. At a more accelerated rate, I was then able to pass my state test for barbering. The crossover program was such a great way to fast-track my learning path.
