With so many great options out there, choosing which direction to go when it comes to beauty school can be hard. Cosmetology, barbering, esthetics and manicuring are some of the programs we offer, each with their own exceptional skills to learn and practice. Don Roberts offers 4 programs to fit the needs and personalities of our various students. Each program offers the opportunity to learn various techniques and grow in your field. Take a look at our program summaries to see which is right for you.

Cosmetology

Cosmetology is all about beauty. It envelops a large portion of the industry including hair, nails, and skin. At Don Roberts, one on one training from our educators is available in order to fully understand various techniques and skills. Here are just some of the things you can learn in our Cosmetology classes:

  • Hair Coloring, Cutting, and Styling
  • Shampooing and Scalp Massage
  • Waxing
  • Makeup Application
  • Facials
  • Artificial Nails
  • Career Planning

Our program is 1500 hours, with full and part-time options available. Students must have a high school diploma or GED to enroll. Scholarships, Federal Grants, and Student Loans are available to those who qualify.

Esthetics

Interested in helping others feel good in their skin? Then esthetics might be the right fit for you! When entering this program, you can expect to be surrounded by a calm and relaxing environment while being taught by our experienced instructors. In this program, you can learn:

  • Infection Control
  • Facial Treatments
  • Skin Cleansing and Exfoliation
  • Massage
  • Mask and Hydration Treatment
  • Makeup Application
  • Hair Removal
  • Career Planning

Our program is 900 hours, with full and part-time options available. Students must have a high school diploma or GED to enroll. Scholarships, Federal Grants, and Student Loans are available to those who qualify.

Manicuring

Our manicuring program can provide you with an opportunity to show off your creative side through nail art. Our students typically have a strong passion for art, are detail-oriented. And manage their time well. Through manicuring, you may have a wider field of career options to choose from after graduation. These opportunities can be found in salons, spas, hotels, cruise ships, and resorts. If you’re looking for a quick and creative way to enter the world of beauty, this may be for you!

This program is 600 hours. Scholarships, Federal Grants, and Student Loans are available to those who qualify.

Barbering

Barbering involves the cutting and grooming of men’s hair. If this is something that interests you, then our barbering program may be the place for you. Our experienced educators are here to provide you with an education that combines hands-on experience with technique and theory so you learn the way you need. In this program you may learn:

  • Shampooing and Scalp Massage
  • Men’s Facial Treatments
  • Hair Replacement
  • Hair Cutting and Hair Design
  • Hair Texturizing
  • Career Planning
