Choice Scholarship Award 2025

It is with great pride that I announce a $2,000 Choice Scholarship Award to Katie Johnson, a recently licensed esthetician.

Katie enrolled in our esthetics program after completing four years of college. During the Discovery Day process and before enrollment in early 2024, Katie’s desire and passion for the industry and strong work ethic were obvious to me.

While in school, Katie worked part-time, using her BA skill set, mentored off-campus with Crown Med Spa, and maintained an academic GPA of 99%. Because she chose to mentor off-site, she attended 102% of her scheduled classes. This afforded her the opportunity to complete her licensing exam before graduation, on which she scored a 94%. Her current employment was offered and began prior to graduation. She works full-time as a licensed esthetician at Crown Med Spa, Crown Point, Indiana.

While enrolled, Katie demonstrated consistency in her academic studies and clinic assignments. Her ability to create and work the plan successfully allowed her to graduate one month early. Katie built a strong client base to support her pending career. Her professional accountability, tenacity, and strong work ethic are to her credit. She is a strong team player. All of these traits will serve Katie well in the future. I believe her education with us is just the first stepping stone to her career. As a seasoned instructor and school owner, I award this scholarship with the utmost scrutiny and attention to detail. It is this writer’s choice to you, Miss Katie Johnson will support you by decreasing your student loan debt by $2,000.
